Why This Program Exists

Diabetes is more than

just blood sugar.

😴

Constant fatigue that won't lift

Even when numbers are managed, the exhaustion doesn’t go away. Your body feels heavy and energy feels unreliable — every single day.

😟

Stress spikes your glucose

Stress is one of the most significant — and least talked about — drivers of glucose fluctuation. The nervous system and blood sugar are directly connected.

💊

Medication alone isn't enough

Most people on diabetes medication still struggle with energy, weight, sleep, and mood. Medication manages symptoms. These practices work on the underlying systems.

🏃

Intense exercise destabilises sugar

Heavy exercise can spike or crash blood sugar unpredictably. These practices are specifically designed to be effective without that volatility.
What actually helps

Classical Hatha Yoga works on diabetes at the source — not just the symptoms.

The four practices in this program are not generic yoga. They are chosen specifically because they work directly on the pancreas, the adrenal glands, the nervous system, and the circulatory system.

Bhastrika Kriya purifies the blood and directly benefits conditions including diabetes. Nadi Shuddhi reduces the stress response that drives glucose fluctuation. Surya Shakti builds physical foundation and energy. Upa Yoga activates the joints and energy pathways without physical strain.

Together, practiced for 30–45 minutes every morning at home, they create the conditions your body needs to regulate itself better.

What You Will Learn

Four practices.

One complete daily program.

Each practice is taught step by step in person. You leave knowing all four — and practice them independently at home every morning for life.

01

Upa Yoga

Activating joints, muscles & energy system

Upa-yoga is a simple yet powerful system of exercise that activates the joints, muscles, and energy system. Based on a sophisticated understanding of the body’s mechanics, Upa-yoga dispels inertia in the body’s energy and brings ease to the whole system. It relieves physical stress and tiredness.

Ideal as an opening practice — lubricates the joints and activates the body’s energy pathways without putting the system under strain.

02

Surya Shakti

Solar power — 18 postures

Surya Shakti is a dynamic form of the Sun Salutation — an ancient yogic practice with a powerful sequence of 18 postures. It does wonders for your health, as well as your physical and mental wellbeing. Brings about physical fitness, strength, stamina and increases energy levels.

Builds physical strength and activates the body’s energy systems — essential for improving insulin sensitivity and fighting the fatigue that comes with diabetes.
bhastrika

03

Bhastrika Kriya

Utilizing breath — blood purification

Bhastrika Kriya is a powerful kriya, which purifies the blood and increases lung capacity. It can be of assistance to people with asthma, allergy, sinusitis, hormonal imbalance and skin disease. It works in two ways — expanding lung capacity and relaxing the whole system.

Directly named as beneficial for people with diabetes. Purifies the blood and improves circulation — working on the condition itself, not just its symptoms.

Nadi Shuddhi

Channel purification

Nadi Shuddhi is a pranayama practice that purifies the nadis — the energy channels of the body. By alternating breath through each nostril, it brings profound balance to the system at every level. Balances the left and right energy channels, calms the nervous system and reduces stress.

Builds physical strength and activates the body’s energy systems — essential for improving insulin sensitivity and fighting the fatigue that comes with diabetes.
“Generally, most human beings are breathing somewhere between 12 to 15 times per minute. They use less than 20% of their lung capacity during normal breathing. If your lung capacity expands, the number of breaths per minute during normal breathing naturally comes down, without you controlling it.”
— Sadhguru
What Changes

What your life looks like

after daily practice

This is not about what might happen. This is what happens when you practice every morning.

🌅

Your mornings feel different

Instead of waking up tired and heavy, you gradually start waking up with more energy, more clarity, and a body that feels cooperative rather than resistant.

📉

Fewer spikes and crashes

As your nervous system calms and your endocrine system balances, glucose fluctuation reduces. Steadier numbers. Steadier moods.

🧘

The anxiety around your condition reduces

Having a daily practice — something active you are doing for yourself — shifts the feeling of helplessness into agency. You are no longer just waiting for the next reading.

💤

You sleep better

Deeper, more restful sleep — which directly improves your insulin sensitivity and gives your body the repair time it needs every night.

🏃

Your body becomes an ally

Over weeks of daily practice, your strength, flexibility and balance all improve. Your body stops feeling like the problem and starts feeling like part of the solution.

🔋

Your medication picture may improve

This program does not replace medical advice. But many who practice consistently alongside medical care find their doctor is able to review medication over time — always under supervision.

who practices daily

Rubika is a certified Classical Hatha Yoga teacher, trained for over 1,750 hours at Sadhguru Gurukulam. Before immersing herself in yoga, she spent years as a data scientist for international banks in India and abroad.

Long desk hours had led to back pain and mental exhaustion. These practices not only restored her physical wellbeing but brought deep inner balance — and awakened a longing to share these tools with others.
